It's Story Time |
Stories are all around us. So is the chance to learn. It doesn't matter whether you are at home or at school, Just as the famous author Roald Dahl said, "Those who don't believe in magic will never find it," those you don't try to make opportunities for wonder won't experience it. I hope the ideas here lead you to imagine, learn and grow. There are pages for activities, reading suggestions and stories, and they will be continually updated. Click one of the tabs on the top right of this page to get started.

As of March 24, 2020, the Internet Archive will allow access to its lending library by creating a National Emergency Library to serve the nation’s remote learners. This suspension will run through June 30, 2020, or the end of the US national emergency, whichever is later. Grade 3 to 6 chapter books can be accessed here: https://archive.org/details/nationalemergencylibrary?&and[]=subject%3A%22Children%3A%20Grades%204-6%22
Video storytime from Rye Public Library
Our friend Miss Jessica at The Rye Public Library has been recording videos of herself reading children's books as well as novels that juveniles and teens will likely need to read for school, and uploading them to YouTube. The link for that is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hsz4QqatNS8
More videos are uploaded each week. The Public Library will be sending out a weekly newsletter with reviews, digital story time information, at-home activities and more. If you'd like to be added to that email list, you can email Miss Jessica at [email protected].
